Have you ever reached that point where you don’t feel like leading anymore?
When I first started in ministry I wanted to quit about once a week. As I matured it was just once a month. Now it is only once or twice or year that I think about putting up the white flag.
My Pastor, Mac Hammond, is one of the best leaders I know. I have learned so much about leadership by simply watching Mac Hammond. Pastor Mac shared these un-leadership principals at a recent leadership conference and I thought I would share them with you.
Ten Steps On How Not To Be A Leader
Whenever I reach that point of not wanting to lead, I pull out this list and remind myself of how not to be a leader.
A better way to get some relief is to grow up some leaders to help you lead. There are some great young leaders right under your nose that are just waiting for someone to mentor them. I’m talking about the kids and teens in your church. Over the years I have trained hundreds of kids and teens to lead and many of them are in full time ministry today. I just recently wrote a curriculum on Leadership. Now you can teach your kids the same leadership principals I have used over the years.

Do you live in the Denver, Colorado area? I am coming to Denver for one of my TRANSFORM conferences on Saturday February 25. I hope to see you there.
