How I mentor my volunteers

I want to share with you how I mentor my Small Group Leaders.

  1. I meet with them once a month for 30 minutes during Large Group.
  2. I buy one copy of  The Red Book for all my Small Group Leaders
  3. I pick out a chapter in The Red Book
  4. We go around in a circle, and everyone reads one paragraph at a time.  (Each chapter is 4 -5 pages, which takes about 10 minutes.)
  5. Then we talk about what we got out of that chapter. (I find the concepts in the The Red Book will stick with people, if I can get them to talk about them.)

That’s how I mentor my volunteers. There you go.

I find that if I take the time to pour into my volunteers:

  • They are on time.
  • They are more consistent.
  • They stay with me longer.

I have some more good news.

We are having a BOGO sale right now.

It’s a great time to buy copies of The Red Book for your entire team.
