3 in 1

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

-1 John 5:7

When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you, I am well pleased.”

-Luke 3:21-22

Needed: One Fidget Spinner. You can get one at Target or online at Amazon. (there probably isn’t even a need to buy one, most likely a child in your class has one, or three in their pocket)

What to do: Have a child who has a fidget spinner come up to the front. And have him or her show you how to spin it.

What to say:

This spinner has three different sides. But, it is still a whole piece, as one.

This reminds me of God. God has three parts. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. But He is one God.

These three parts are different. They do different things, but they are all God.

God the Father made everything we see.

God the Son, or Jesus, came down to the earth and died for all of our sins

God the Holy Spirit is our comforter.

They each have the things that they do. But they are all God.

This spinner would not spin very well if it did not have three separate sections that help it spin.

We can really see this clear in Luke Chapter 3. Jesus is getting baptized by John the Baptist. As Jesus was getting baptized, the Holy Spirit descend upon Jesus as a Dove. Then a voice came from Heaven, saying, “You are my Son, whom I love; with you, I am well pleased.” We can see all three persons of the Trinity in this story.

Just like this fidget spinner.
