By Debbie Harper
In June of this year I had a word from the Lord: “If you want to see a change, you must make a change.”
I’ve begun making intentional changes, and I understand now—2026 won’t become my best year by accident. It will become my best year by my focus. What I give my attention to will determine what I experience.
Scripture shows us that breakthroughs are not random—they are the result of intentional alignment with God’s Word.
Here are three non-negotiable focuses for stepping into the best year of your life:
- Focus on the Word
If God’s Word doesn’t set your expectations, today’s culture will set your limits. Faith grows when the Word is your primary input. What you believe shapes how you live, and belief comes from hearing God’s truth consistently.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
My 2026 decision:
I will build my thinking, choices, and expectations on Scripture—not circumstances. - Focus on Obedience
Breakthrough follows obedience. Many people want God’s promises without God’s instructions. But Scripture is clear—forward movement happens when we act on what God says, even when it stretches us.
“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” — Isaiah 1:19
My 2026 decision:
I will obey quickly and fully, trusting God with the outcome. - Focus on God’s Purpose & Mission
The best years are never self-centered years. When God’s purpose takes priority, He guarantees provision. Purpose unlocks provision, and impact multiplies joy.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33
My 2026 decision:
I will live to make an eternal impact, not just a temporary improvement.
My 2026 Victory Confession:
I declare that 2026 is not a self-centered year—it is a God-centered year. I put Heaven’s agenda first, and everything I need overtakes me. Because I live on purpose, provision flows to me. Because I pursue fruitfulness, increase multiplies in my life. I will not lack, I will not fall behind, and I will not be held back. God orders my steps, empowers my obedience, and rewards my faithfulness. Doors open, favor surrounds me, and strength renews daily. This is my year to advance, to build, and to win for the Kingdom of God. I move forward from victory, not toward it.
In Jesus’ name—2026 is my strongest, most fruitful year yet.

WOOHOO! This is POWERFULL, Ms. Debbie!!!!! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your heart and your commitment!
Hi Debbie,
I agree with the three areas of focus for 2026. I have started working on being intentional and consistent more in the Word of God and His mission and purpose for my life. Alignment with God is KEY. Thank you for sharing.
