How Your Kids Can Have Super Strong Faith

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

Joshua 1:8 (NLT)

How does your faith keeps pace with what you say?

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The first time you hear God’s Word your faith begins to grow. When you say God’s Word out of your mouth it causes your faith to get stronger. This is the best way to build your faith because you will believe your own words more than you believe what someone else says about you.

Negative words hurt your faith.

It’s impossible for a negative person to be strong in faith. If you are saying negative words it will cancel out your faith. The Bible says, “We have the mind of Christ.” However, if you are always talking about how stupid you are, then this scripture isn’t helping you. You cancel it out with your own words.

Speaking God’s Word will build up your faith.

If you feel like you are stupid, don’t say those words about yourself. Instead say, “I have the mind of Christ.” The more you say the Word of God the stronger your faith will be. If you feel weak and sickly, don’t talk about how weak and sickly you feel. Instead say, “The Lord is the strength of my life.” Keep saying the Word of God, especially when you don’t feel like it. Walk by faith and not by how you feel.

Your faith keeps pace with what you say.

What you say determines how strong your faith is. You may read the Bible for two hours every day, but if you contradict the Bible with your own words, you cancel out your Bible reading. Negative thoughts come to all of us. Words like, “You’re stupid,” “You’re ugly,” “Nobody likes you,” “You’re not good at sports.”

God would not say these words about you, so don’t say them about yourself. Say what God says about you and that will build up your faith. Your faith keeps pace with what you say.
